Yup, it’s time to start thinking about Christmas already! I like to get my ideas early so I have plenty of time to find and upcyle what I need to pull off the look.
This year, I am thinking Vintage Christmas. I have been searching around for inspiration for my design and thought it would be fun to share what I have found thus far. Maybe you can use some of these ideas for your Christmas decorating this year.
I stared looking on Pinterest and then went to the original websites to see all the photos and/or tutorials. All the photos below are linked to the original websites as reported by Pinterest pinners. Take some time to visit them. They have some great ideas!
Vintage Style Upcycling Old Books and Sheet Music
I LOVE this idea. I find lots of old paperbacks at yard sales and thrift stores and love giving them a new life for a few more years. In addition to the gorgeous music and books pages ornaments, she added grapevine, ribbon, thin tinsel garland and a few shiny baubles that have a vintage look. It’s truly gorgeous, don’t you agree?
UpCycling License Plates
Isn’t this awesome? Donna of Funky Junk Interiors designed this little tree with a vintage vibe. The old sled, burlap and license plates mix so well and look wonderful for a vintage holiday style. She’s a talented lady!
Melissa Michaels of The Inspired Room came up with this tree that I find fabulous! It’s is so simple but absolutely perfect for a vintage style tree in your kitchen or dining room. I love the twine used as ornament holders, the mix of silverware type and the different styles. Ingenious but simple. I love it!
