This past weekend was a HUGE, about 40 miles long, yard sale along the road we live on. We had so much fun going from sale to sale, seeing unique and different items, picking up stuff for ourselves and for the Vintage With A Twist booth. One thing my mom was looking for was patio furniture. Unfortunately, many others were looking, too. No of us found much. Late spring may not be the time to find patio furniture at yard sales.
People are just unpacking and putting out their patio sets. Methinks fall might be a better time… instead of storing away their patio furniture for the winter, maybe more people will be selling it. Anyway, we did run across some old pieces — chairs — mom even bought a set of old patio chair-stools. They are pretty cool looking and remind me of the type of lawn furniture that was sold when I was young.
Just a short trip down memory lane… do you remember any of these retro or vintage style patio furniture?
These were made by Gruber Industires and called a “servi-seat”. They could be used as footstools or for extra seating. The seating area is made from classic lawn chair webbing strips and the frames are aluminum. They are sooo cool! My husband loves the fact that they are black and gold (college Alma Matre colors). I just think they will add some interest to the patio or deck — wherever they end up!
Among our treasures for two days of sale-ing we got a vintage suitcase, an old baby stroller, a Vietnam war entrenching tool, a shabby chic blue table, tiki torches, lanterns and a few more odds and ends. What a wonderful couple of days!

What great seats! I remember these on my grandparents patio – they used them like little side tables. Just a tray to make it a strong surface and anything could sit on them. This was a great find for you! Congrats.
Thank you! We love them. So far we have used them as side tables, stools and the perfect height for my niece to use as a tray to eat!
