Well, after successfully finding the front door through the obstacle course of boxes and furniture from moving, we actually spent the day at the booth getting it ready for the holidays. The biggest drawback was forgetting the camera. So, I will apologize ahead of time for the quality of the pictures below. I love my smartphone but the camera is not that great…
This is in the expanded area of the booth. We have sold quite a bit of our furniture lately so we need to refill our inventory. We actually do have a few items in the garage that are in desperate need of some TLC. May have to wait until after the holidays or at least until we are completely finished with the move and unpacking.
Another view from the aisle. We rearranged our display furniture for a “U” shaped walking space and to get some more small items out.
We added some greenery a gift box and a holiday sign to the top of the bookcase in honor of the season. Otherwise, we sprinkled some ornaments and vase filler around. Christmas and the holidays are great but we really want the vintage items to take center stage — not decor that is not for sale.
I found the vintage suitcase in the garage today, right before we left. I had forgotten all about it since packing to move. So, I dusted it off and added it to our living room area.
On the kitchen side of the booth, we added a small lime green aluminum tree with red garland and some more greenery. Again, making a “U” shape to invite customers in for a closer look at our vintage treasures.
Same area, different view. We all had a few more glassware or kitchen items we added today in addition to a Rooster cutting board and water bottle crock and counter stand, among other things.
We ended up with 3 plant stands — all vintage. One is walnut, one is oak and the last is a wood with a shabby lime green paint treatment. We had sold a wall mirror so we are going to have to re-do the wall display. Just kinda made due today since we didn’t know.
Again, I apologize for the photo quality — just not the same as a real camera. We still have a few more things to add and rearrange but it will have to wait for another day. It was a bit challenging today with a lot of customers roaming the mall (yay!) but there never seems to be a good time when it comes to re-organizing, rearranging and decorating.
Don’t forget to stop by and see us at Vintage With A Twist sometime and the J. W. Riley Emporium in beautiful downtown Greenfield, Indiana!
