Things have been hopping around here. We did pretty well for February. The owners of our mall, JW Riley Emporium (Antiques) told us that February is usually a quiet month for sales but that we did well in spite!
We are planning a pretty big overhaul soon. The garage is full of vintage items that need a tweak or two and will then be ready for the Vintage With A Twist booth so, we are hoping the weather will be cooperative so we can get it done. After the items are ready, we will go into the mall after hours so we can make a mess and not bother the customers as we change things around!
In the mean time, here are a few cool vintage items in the booth now…
My brother in law brought this table in not long ago. I just love the chippy style and the chickens that were hand-painted on top. It could go almost anywhere in the house — bedroom, living or family room, porch or patio. It just has a “feel good” and “much loved” quality about it.
My youngest sister has a cool California Pottery lazy Susan in the booth. The pattern is lettuce or cabbage form in green. These lazy Susan’s are so nice for parties or buffets.
And, Mom has a neat chip and dip from Lane & Co. of Van Nuys, California. The colors are cream, green, gold and brown. I love the way the green sort of fades out. A wonderful mid century find (1961).
We have sold most of the items I feature in this “Cool Vintage Items” series. Seems people do appreciate featuring items so they can see them better! Let me know if you are looking for something in particular. Maybe we have it in the Vintage With A Twist booth!
